Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is once again making headlines for her outlandish political views.
While a guest speaking on Yahoo’s Skullduggery podcast, the freshman congresswoman blasted Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu while considering cutting aid to the U.S. ally.
AOC referred to Natanyahu as a “Trump-like figure” who shares a role in “the ascent of authoritarianism across the world.”
Apparently Ocasio-Cortez disapproves of the PM’s pledge to enforce Israeli sovereignty over strategic West Bank Jewish settlements. She is so opposed in fact, that she advocates pulling military aid to the country.
“I think it’s certainly on the table….I hope to play a facilitating role in this conversation and a supportive role in this conversation. But I also know that there have been people leading on this for a long time, like Congresswoman [Betty] McCollum,” Ocasio-Cortez said.
The reference to McCollum is likely about the anti-Israeli bill that she introduced that accused the country of using U.S. military aid to illegally imprison Palestinian children.
