The left has crossed all lines.
On the Fourth of July, Representative Ayanna Pressley (D-Mass.) celebrated Independence Day by posting a condemning tweet about the Declaration of Independence because the document “did not condemn slavery, protect the rights of women or include Native Americans.”
“Our founding fathers were not living gods…they were fallible human beings.” The Declaration of Independence “did not condemn slavery, protect the rights of women or include Native Americans.” https://t.co/RujjiopufJ

Controversial Congresswoman Rashida Tlaib (D-Mich.) both “liked” and shared Pressley’s post on her Twitter page.
Rep. Pressley stated in her Twitter thread that “prejudices, biases & contradictions codified by our founding fathers is still felt today.” She continued to compare the detention of migrants awaiting trial with slavery, saying, “We continue to struggle as a nation to embrace our full history, one that includes family separation of black families at the auction block & today of migrants at camps.”
