This new information could turn the tides…
There is “no way” registered sex offender and millionaire financier Jeffrey Epstein could have pulled off killing himself in the Manhattan facility, according to a former Metropolitan Correction Center prisoner.
“There’s no way that man could have killed himself. I’ve done too much time in those units. It’s an impossibility,” the former inmate said.
It was found that Epstein apparently hanged himself at the MCC facility on Saturday morning and was transferred to a Manhattan hospital where he arrived in cardiac arrest, reports say.
Due to the circumstances and precautionary nature of MCC, the former convict is extremely skeptical of the apparent suicide. “Between the floor and the ceiling is like eight or nine feet. There’s no way for you to connect to anything. You have sheets, but they’re paper level, not strong enough. He was 200 pounds — it would never happen,” he said.
The man explained that inmates on suicide watch are put in a “white smock, a straight jacket.”
“They know a person cannot be injurious to themselves,” he noted. “The clothing they give you is a jump-in uniform. Everything is a dark brown color.”
Could Epstein have helped kill himself from the prison bed? There is no possibility of that either, according to the former prisoner. “There’s a steel frame, but you can’t move it. There’s no light fixture. There’s no bars,” he said.
“They don’t give you enough in there that could successfully create an instrument of death. You want to write a letter, they give you rubber pens and maybe once a week a piece of paper,” the man added. “Nothing hard or made of metal.”
However, NBC revealed on Saturday that, at the moment of the event, Epstein was not on suicide watch, contrary to initial accounts. It’s also a curious revelation, as the registered sex offender was discovered three weeks previously with marks around his throat, sparking rumors that Epstein was watching suicide. However, it is uncertain if the damage to his throat was caused by a suicide attempt, an effort to be moved to another prison, or an assault by another prisoner.
The former inmate also said that Epstein was likely alone in his cell. “There’s up to 80 people there,” he said. “They could put two in cell. It’s one or two, but I’ll never believe this guy had a cellmate. He was too blown up.”
At MCC, prisoners are handled like livestock, he said, he advised his parents not to arrive because it was so horrible.
“But it’s my firm belief that Jeffrey Epstein did not commit suicide. It just didn’t happen,” the former inmate stated.
Since the devastating murder of Epstein, conspiracy theories have been circulating the internet, many pointing to the big amount of powerful people involved in his situation, including high-profile politicians.
